Introduction
It is widely recognized that the arrival of a new railway line or station could stimulate development. However, the multifaceted nature of this phenomenon has been approached in a variety of ways, and a comprehensive picture is missing. This half-day workshop aims to establish a landscape that captures the diverse dimensions of railway-induced urban development. This workshop is part of the Research Network Project entitled “ Understanding the long-term evolution of metro impacts on urban development for sustainability, vibrancy, and inclusiveness” and funded by ESRC and NSTC. Transport and Urban Planners, Policy Makers, Practitioners, University Academics, Students and anyone else with interest in this topic are all welcome.
